During his service in Matzov, Ariel led one of Israel’s most critical cybersecurity initiatives: the IDF’s transition to cloud security. He designed the military’s most secure cloud infrastructure and fundamentally transformed the way the IDF protects its most sensitive data.
Through this work, Ariel recognized that traditional security tools were no longer sufficient. Cloud environments required a proactive and innovative approach. His efforts helped shape new best practices and drove enhancements to native cloud (e.g Azure, AWS, GCP) security tools in order to meet modern military security requirements. However, this experience also revealed a broader challenge: if even the IDF with its elite talent and extensive resources struggled to securely adopt cloud technologies, commercial organizations would face even greater difficulties.
This realization led to the founding of Aryon Security a company built to make cloud security proactive, intelligent, and automated. Drawing on lessons learned from securing Israel’s most sensitive infrastructure and collaborating closely with cloud providers, Aryon set out to develop a solution that prevents security issues before they arise, leveraging automation, intelligent policy enforcement, and seamless integration to protect organizations at scale.
